The Edinburgh Bookshop

The Edinburgh BookshopThe Edinburgh Bookshop is an independent bookshop in the Bruntsfield area of Edinburgh and the result of merging our two bookshops – The Edinburgh Bookshop which had premises a little way along the street and The Children’s Bookshop.  We pride ourselves in stocking an eclectic range of books we love, from the classics to the contemporary, from quirky non-fiction to beautifully illustrated cookery and craft titles.  Our children’s section is extensive and combines a fantastic range to engage children and young people from birth to young adult, combined with expert knowledge and advice.  Our aim is to provide a welcoming environment for customers to browse coupled with excellent customer service.

About Us

Welcome to State of Independents. I'm Vanessa Robertson. I live in Edinburgh and my husband and I own a bookshop and tiny publishing house. This is where I write about the book trade as I see it and I'm not always as diplomatic as I should be... We write about what's going on in our businesses over at The Fidra Blog
